Mushroom Soup
I suppose this is, by far, my family’s favourite soup. This is not the standard cream of mushroom as hubby doesn’t like thick soup. Hmm…I don’t know how else to describe it other than it’s a homey, subtle soup that grows on you. It’s an easy soup to make but a bit messy and there are a few steps to go through to get to the end result. But it’s well worth it when you see the family gulping it down. Enjoy!
Egg-drop Corn Soup
This is a corn soup recipe that’s easy to prepare with just a few ingredients that are almost guaranteed to be sitting in my kitchen. A tip: use the absolute sweetest sweet corn that you can find and make sure to milk the corn so that you get that yummy sweet goodness in the soup and not just in the kernels. It’s a lifesaver whenever I need a quick-cooking starter on a wintery day…

Adobong Kangkong
While I do like adobong kangkong, I didn’t like cooking it primarily because it doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing when done in the traditional way – the leaves get tangled, mashed and limp and the dish ends up looking a bit unappetizing. And so I tried a different way of doing it and it ended up looking better and the veggies were fresher and crisper.
